Introducing Gabriella Kovago painting here at New City Gallery. Gabriella Kovago’s first love is theatrical costume design but she is an accomplished artist in all mediums. Aged twenty nine and Hungarian by birth Gabriella Kovago has worked in U.S.A, the Netherlands and right here in London.

Paul Whitehead | Artist

Paul Whitehead has been drawing, painting and taking photos for most of his life. Travelling extensively after getting a taste during his stint of 6 years in the Australian Navy, joining as a boy seaman at age 15.

Paul Whitehead's travels included 5 months through Africa, many trips through Europe, Turkey and parts of Asia.

Paul Whitehead is, at present, living in London and working here at New City Gallery. Most of Paul Whitehead's recent work is commissioned, anything from portraits to London scenes across most mediums.

Paintings of the River Thames

New City Gallery is based next to the River Thames at London Bridge, which gives our artists the excellent opportunity of painting the River Thames. Most of our artists have paintings of the River Thames on display and for sale in our Gallery.

Jack Vettriano

Born in Scotland in 1951, Jack Vettriano left school at sixteen to become a mining engineer in the local coalfields. For Jack Vettriano's twenty-first birthday a girlfriend gave him a set of watercolour paints and from then on Jack Vettriano spent much of his spare time teaching himself to paint. The local art gallery, The Kirkcaldy Museum and Art Gallery, with its renowned collection of 19th and 20th century Scottish paintings, was particularly inspirational.

In 1990 an enthusiastic reaction greeted the three paintings which Jack Vettriano entered for the prestigious Summer Exhibition at London's Royal Academy. Aside from his exhibitions, Jack Vettriano has acquired a vast following of fans through the posters and prints of his paintings that are distributed worldwide. The original of Jack Vettriano's work 'The Singing Butler' fetched nearly £750,000 in April 2004.
