Bahar Sert was born in 1982 in Antalya, Turkey and is the eldest of 2 children. Both her parents are school teachers and they named her Bahar with the inspiration that spring engenders. Bahar Sert began painting and drawing as a young child, winning her first prize at the age of 11 and many more over the following years.Fine Art School was the next step where she gained entrance with the highest points and studied between 1996 and 2000. Bahar Sert's success led her in to stage design at university between 2000 and 2004 and she graduated with the honour of 'most successful student' and a 1st class grade.
Throughout her art education Bahar Sert has had five joint art exhibitions; three of them in Fine Art, two in stage design and has been involved in several theatrical productions and movies, as a stage and costume designer and make-up artist. Together with her involvement in these other areas of the arts, Bahar Sert has always continued taking her drawing and painting to the highest level.
